Wade Slovick’s Path from the National Guard to The HVAC Industry

MB Heating & Cooling Inc. has the privilege of working with Wade Slovick, a dedicated professional whose journey from the National Guard to success in the HVAC industry has been truly inspiring. Wade’s openness in sharing his experiences and motivations has enriched our team, and we take pride in having him on board. Wade’s colleagues all agree that it has been a privilege to work alongside him, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation for his unwavering dedication.

Early Days and The Path to The National Guard

Wade grew up in Kincaid, Illinois, where he played football, an experience he credits with preparing him physically for his National Guard service. During high school, he also worked at a local pizza restaurant, gaining some early work experience. After graduating in 2021, he was uncertain about his future, so Wade decided to join the National Guard just a month later. He completed six months of basic training in Oklahoma, experiencing both the intense summer heat and the chilly winter conditions. Wade found the training challenging but rewarding, as it pushed him beyond his limits and instilled a strong sense of discipline. Joining the National Guard after high school gave him the time to figure out what he wanted to do next while also providing a steady income. This period of service was crucial in helping Wade navigate his future career path.

Transition to The HVAC Industry

Once Wade returned home, he began researching potential career paths online, focusing on welding and HVAC classes. He quickly realized that welding was not the right fit for him, so he decided to enroll in HVAC classes instead. With the assistance provided by the National Guard, he was able to cover the costs of his HVAC training. Wade has been working with MB Heating & Cooling Inc. for almost a year now and has found his place in the HVAC industry. While the HVAC industry can be challenging, Wade’s quick learning ability and keen attention to detail have helped him succeed. He emphasizes the importance of common sense in his work, allowing him to excel and adapt quickly to new situations. His dedication and practical skills have made him a valuable team member at MB Heating & Cooling Inc., earning respect from both colleagues and customers. Wade’s journey from uncertainty to finding his place in HVAC is a testament to his hard work and determination.

Working at MB and Preparing for Deployment

Wade has thoroughly enjoyed his time working at MB Heating & Cooling Inc.. The most rewarding part for him is the sense of accomplishment he feels after helping customers each day. Unlike his previous job at the pizza restaurant, where he often left feeling unfulfilled, this role allows him to make a positive impact. Known for his positive attitude, Wade motivates his colleagues daily. In early August, just a day after his wedding, Wade will deploy with the Puerto Rico National Guard for a week of training, followed by an eleven-month deployment. While Wade admits he will miss his family during this time, he looks forward to the experience.

We will greatly miss Wade Slovick’s presence at MB Heating & Cooling Inc. during his deployment and are incredibly grateful for his service. Our team eagerly looks forward to his return and will be ready to welcome him back with open arms. Wade has demonstrated the profound impact of dedication and perseverance. From facing uncertainty to excelling in the HVAC industry, his story highlights how individuals can make a significant difference through unwavering commitment. His journey serves as a powerful reminder of the limitless potential that emerges from steadfast determination.
