Camp Out for Homeless Veterans A Fund Raiser for Fifth Street Renaissance of Springfield
October 22, 2021
Why:
To raise awareness of homelessness of our military veterans in our community. Also, to raise funds for Fifth Street Veterans Renaissance as they help local homeless veterans become self-sufficient.
When:
The Camp Out starts at 3pm, Friday, October 22th.
Where:
MB Heating & Cooling 1555 W. Jefferson, Springfield
Who:
Everyone! Families, church groups, businesses...anyone interested in helping are encouraged to attend.
Bonus:
MB Heating & Cooling is collecting nonperishable food items to stock Fifth Street’s shelves. Bring items by 1555 W. Jefferson between 8am – 4:30pm. Do it when you pick up your boxes for your shelter!
How:
Raise the “rent” and get your camp site for the event by collecting pledges or donating to Fifth Street Renaissance. We are asking everyone to have a goal of raising $100, but all contributions will be accepted. Donations can also be made to: gofundme.com/veterans-homeless
What to bring:
Please do not bring: valuables, electronics, pets, alcohol, tobacco or weapons.
Prizes for Best Box Shelter: 1st prize - $1000 prize
(Provided by MB Heating & Cooling)
2nd prize - $500 prize (Anonymous Donor)
3rd prize - $250 prize (Anonymous Donor)
Bonus – Surprise Prize for the Best Military Theme Shelter!

Preschool – 2nd Grade 3rd Grade – 5th Grade

Please include the student’s name, age, phone number, address and school on the back of the coloring page.
All entries must be turned in by 5pm on October 22nd, 2021. Judging will also be on October 22nd, 2021 at 4:30pm at the Campout 4 Homeless Veterans. If winners are not present at the Campout, they will be notified by October 23rd 2021.
1st and 2nd Place prizes will be awarded to both age groups.
